Preliminary Fumblings
Good morning. I’ve decided to start a blog.
You join me as I try to get to grips with blogging. If all goes to plan (this is already the second attempt) then this should appear as the first post. If you happen to stumble across it, I’m sorry it is neither substantial nor imaginative. Take heart, though: in the years to come, you’ll be able to say that you were there at the start of something very special.
Or something.
Anyway, do feel free to say hello. I’m not sure how you would go about this, actually, but presumably you do.
This is the plan: not wanting a blog that peters out with a whimper, nor one that bores countless generations from now until eternity, I’ve decided that I’ll keep it for a year. The bookends for this undertaking will be New Year’s Day and New Year’s Eve 2007. By then, I imagine it will be time to take stock.
I thought it would be a good idea to get myself savvy before making a proper start on the first, so you would be warmly welcome to join me in this, the anticipatory phase of the project. Think of it, if you will, as the tuning of the orchestra. But be sure to be in your seat on New Year’s Day, for the first, rousing chord of a year-long epic.

Good man Doug – I look forward to becoming subject to your general musings.
Good reference to This is Spinal Tap by the way in the previous comment!

I don’t suppose that’s Graham Hands, by any chance? Good day to you sir. And good day if you are someone else entirely; you are most welcome.
